So I just watched Kimi ni Sasageru Emblem yesterday and I am just in awe. The main character, Kazuya Takajo is played by Sakurai Sho.

This movie is about a rising football athlete who suddenly gets into an accident and becomes paralysed from waist-down. Just when he thought that he had lost everything, he found wheelchair basketball.

Apparently, this movie was based on a true story. There's just something really heartwarming and inspiring about this movie.

I feel that not enough recognition is given to athletes who are handicapped Competitions like the Paralympics aren't given as much attention as the Olympics, when it should.

After watching this movie, it got me thinking about the prejudice that society has over those with disabilities. Things like parents being against marriage to a disabled partner, etc.
